Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS)

Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS) are Medicaid-covered behavioral health rehabilitative services designed to assist individuals in developing and strengthening the skills necessary for independent functioning, stability, and community integration.

Services are individualized and based on an approved service plan.

 

Service Activities

CCSS interventions may include:

• Teaching and reinforcing daily living and independent functioning skills

• Supporting development of decision-making, problem-solving, and behavioral regulation skills

• Assisting individuals in applying skills in real-life community settings

• Coordinating access to behavioral health, medical, and community resources as part of service plan goals

• Monitoring progress and reinforcing skill acquisition to reduce functional impairments

 

Billing Alignment Statement

CCSS services are provided as direct, goal-oriented interventions and are documented in accordance with Medicaid requirements for rehabilitative behavioral health services, including time-based service delivery and measurable progress toward identified goals.

 

Eligibility & Authorization

Services are provided based on medical necessity, Medicaid eligibility, and required authorization in accordance with Managed Care Organization (MCO) and state guidelines.

LIFE SKILLS

Structured Life Skills Education Service

(Non-Clinical Services)

 

The Structured Life Skills Education Service is a structured, non-clinical educational service designed to support individuals in developing practical skills for everyday life, personal responsibility, and community engagement.

This service is not therapy, counseling, or behavioral health treatment.
